I was so happy to meet McKenna and her family, who were here vacationing from Ohio. McKenna had the brilliant idea of getting her senior portraits done at the beach, since Ohio doesn’t have the warm beaches like Florida. I absolutely loved that idea! Mckenna is such a sweet and easy-going young women. She had some great ideas for her session and she didn’t mind getting her feet muddy when I asked to to pose in a muddy waterway, LOL. Thanks, McKenna! 🙂 It was really important to McKenna to incorporate the word, “JOY” into her senior session. Every year since childhood McKenna has attended a summer camp called, Camp Joyful Hearts. It is a special camp focused around children who have congenital or acquired heart disease. This is a topic very close to McKenna and this summer is the first year she will be attending as a counselor! This is a huge and important role for her and it was so fun listening to her joy and excitement for the upcoming camp. The last photo in this post shows how we incorporated the special word, “JOY”, into her session!
I was so privileged and thrilled to photograph pro surfer Matt Dayton, his gorgeous wife, Michelle, and their precious family. They are amazingly kind people and the brains behind NextLevel Social Media. I could tell right away it was going to be a fun session filled with lots of candid moments and playing around at the beach, which is a second home to this family! These are my favorite types of sessions because I just snap away as the family loves on one another, plays together, snuggles, and just creates priceless memories for me to capture. Just the best session with a gorgeous sunset. I couldn’t ask for more!
Tj and Angela are an over the top, fun and exciting couple. So, it was only fitting that their Mexican Glam themed wedding was an over the top, bright, colorful event, filled with culture and lots unique wedding details. Tj and Angela were married at The Atlantic Center for the Arts in New Symrna, Florida. Their guests attended an outside open air ceremony, where Tj and Angela brought their own creative ideas to each part of the ceremony, as well as reciting their own handwritten vows on a roll of old fashioned scroll. Following the ceremony, guests released white balloons into the sky in memory of the groom’s late mother. Guests enjoyed a cocktail hour with signature drinks created by the Bride and Groom. Guests then dined on authentic Mexican cuisine and churro flavored cupcakes. The attention to detail was everywhere, from the monogram lights, to all the hand-designed signs made by the bride herself. This DIY bride even made a faux wedding cake that truly showcased all the colors and flair of their wedding. The newlyweds and their guests danced into the night, and the bride was even serenaded by the groom before the night was over!

An incredible maternity session at Southwind Farm/Taylor Made Performance Horses. This was my first session photographing horses and I absolutely loved the connection that I photographed between the mom-to-be, Amanda, and her beloved horses. I have no doubt that little Thea will be up and riding in no time!
I met Mariana at a gorgeous private property on the outskirts of DeLand, Florida. For every client that says they want gorgeous light, mossy trees, a lake front location, and an overgrown orange grove–this is where we go. It’s simply perfection. The bright and vibrant colors Mariana chose for her outfits were perfect to make her *pop* against the green and lush vegetation of the background.
Such a fun senior session and I could not get over how gorgeous her hair is! I kept telling her how people would die for those curls, and I’m one of those people!!
I hope you enjoying browsing through Mariana’s senior photos, and I do hope my love for senior photography shines through…
