How do I download my digital gallery?

Your email will be sent a link to view your online gallery. From there you may view your images, select favorites, download your gallery, and purchase print, canvases and products.

What if my session gets canceled due to weather, does the $25 deposit get refunded?

The $25 deposit is non-refundable. {I do use my own discretion in certain situations.} We will definitely reschedule your session for another date and time!

What camera do you use?

I shoot with a Canon 5D Mark iv. My favorite lens is my 35mm f/1.4 L series.

If you are a natural light photographer, do you ever use a flash?

Yes! I use an off camera flash and different lighting set ups for weddings, especially during the reception portion.

What can I expect during my session?

My goal for your session is for you to have fun! If you’re doing a family session, I will ask you to chase each other, tickle one another, laugh, snuggle, give kisses, hugs and get cozy. In fact, my favorite photos are the ones where the family members are looking at each other and not at the camera. 🙂 Of course, I always get in the “perfect portrait” photo, where everyone is looking and smiling.

What should we wear for a family session?

Basically, I tell clients, coordinate; don’t match. This means staying in the same color family, but not necessarily having everyone wear the exact same thing, (i.e. jeans with white shirts). This session that you’ve booked is a big deal! Let everyone’s personal style shine through in subtle ways. (Or unsubtle—it’s your choice!) I’m a lover of bright colors or dark ensembles with pops of bright colors. You can achieve pops of color through accessories, including, hats, jewelry, scarves, headbands and hair-clips, bow-ties, etc. The only thing I really don’t recommend is lots and lots of white. This is because when shooting out in the bright beautiful Florida sunshine, white can tend to disappear into the background, and I definitely want YOU, the subject to stand out!

Get creative. Start with one piece and build around it. If it feels right for your family and everyone is comfortable, then it’s perfect.

Did you go to school for photography?

Nope! I actually have a degree in Early Childhood Education, and was a Kindergarten teacher in my other life. 🙂 I am a “self-taught” photographer, who has learned through countless readings, tutorials, mentoring, and lots and lots of trial and error. I am still learning and growing in my art every day!
